Book Review: Cook, Brew and Blend Your Own Herbs

by / September 14, 2014 Articles No Comments

While I was at Neal’s Yard Remedies’ Millennia Walk store to browse their products this week, I came across this book – Cook, Brew, and Blend Your Own Herbs, among other books on natural, healthy living. I liked it so much, I just had to own it.

This book is for those who are into medicinal plants and natural remedies. It showcases a wide range of healing herbs, flowers and plants, its beneficial properties, and includes details on how you can use it on the body, in food, and even includes a section on how to grow, propagate and forage for some of these plants.

As a gardener, a dabbler in the kitchen, and someone who values natural remedies, this book is my bible for the moment and for many years to come, I’m sure.

Cook, Brew, and Blend Your Own Herbs retails at $48 at Neal’s Yard Remedies, if you’d like a copy, call first to find out if there are any more copies left. I bought the second-last copy, and it seems to be quite a popular book.

Let us know which recipe you love most!
